Moving companies are still open as they are considered an essential activity in Pennsylvania according to the Department of Community and Economic Development and the Department of Health. As a company that moves goods throughout the state, Ramsey’s is categorized as a Transportation System, one of the Critical Infrastructure Sectors listed as life-sustaining.
Are Storage Services Still Available in Pennsylvania?
Moving and storage companies in PA remain open because they are considered life-sustaining. We do not anticipate any major service disruptions due to the novel coronavirus. We are taking special steps to avoid risking the health and safety of both our employees and clients.
What Safety Measures Is Ramsey’s Moving Team Taking?
Because moving companies can still operate, all of our staff is being screened to ensure we do not have any employees who are at risk for COVID-19. Our Ramsey’s team has been properly trained to wear masks and gloves during moves as per the Pennsylvania Department of Health guidelines. We are wiping down all trucks between jobs and ensuring that our movers keep their distance from customers and other team members.
We will continue to handle quotes over the phone and email and will take as many precautions as possible to minimize face-to-face contact.
Are There Any Service Areas Ramsey’s Is Avoiding?
At this time, we are avoiding some NYC and Northern NJ moves. Because these areas have been highly impacted by COVID-19, we would rather be safe for the time being. We will continue to stay up-to-date on new regulations that may impact specific states/counties and will make changes as needed.
Is My Move Still Happening?
If you scheduled a move, we will move forward with that as planned. Should we need to make changes, we will give you a call as soon as possible. We are committed to continuing to help your moves get completed safely and without added stress.
